We are actively seeking to recruit the following personnel to work on our Industrial and Mining Projects around Central West NSW Region:
Senior Electrician – Team Leader
Job Purpose:
To provide, plan and co-ordinate a comprehensive electrical service, carried out by the companies own employees, to all aspects of the company’s operations
Responsibilities:
· To organize and manage the electrical department as necessary.
To ensure sub-contractors are supervised and their standard of work is acceptable and in compliance with recognized safety practices and specifications
To control and effectively manage site operations as necessary, in order to assess progress, safety and quality, and to give instruction and advice
To liaise with departmental staff, clients, contractors and suppliers in matters relating to work
To attend meetings, training workshops and other work-related issues, as required, which may involve working outside normal hours
To liaise with specialists and consultants to obtain assistance and advice
To supervise apprentice trainees and trade assistants including allocation and control of work
To prepare method statements in conjunction with Safety officer.
To liaise with Human Resources in matters relating to development and training courses for electrical staff.
To attend management meetings as required.
To undertake specific projects and prepare reports as required.
To adhere to existing working practices, methods and procedures, undertake relevant training and development activities and to respond positively to new and alternative systems
Undertake any additional duties as and when required by the line manager/business
Ensuring adherence to all company policies & procedures.
To identify system weaknesses and suggest new/efficient procedures to strengthen it
Promote health and safety and ensure adherence to health and safety policies and procedures.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience/Qualifications
Licenced Electrician with 10+ years of Experience.
Relevant qualifications.
Able to work on site for extended period of time as required .
Possess the ability to organize and direct electrical and associated staff, determining priorities to maximize the use of resources in achieving prescribed objectives.
Show excellent knowledge and understanding of Industrial electrical systems, procedures and legislation.
Ability to ensure that labour, materials, plant and equipment are used effectively and efficiently
Attention to detail is essential
A professional attitude and good communication skills are essential as the role requires regular interaction with all staff and third-party inspection authorities
Able to manage workload.
· Should be Self-motivated and the ability to work as a team leader.
